forewarned so they know what to expect and to not be taken by
surprize and shocked when they git on the boat
Ship to sail without the Rossingtons

It was announced today by the Gimme Three Days Cruise Directors that
the cruise will set sail Friday, January 5th without Lynyrd Skynyrd
founding member Gary Rossington and his wife Dale.

Nashville's Pat Buchanan will be filling in for Rossington, who
became ill during the holidays, and continues to recuperate at home
from a recent bout with Bilateral Pneumonia and a fall. The biggest
concern behind Gary's health is from where the pneumonia went
untreated for a while which ultimately resulted to his admittance in
a north Georgia hospital for almost two weeks. In addition to his
poor health from this illness, he suffered a concussion from the
fall, which also included injuries that will require extensive
dental surgery as he gets better.

Rossington's medical condition creates extreme weakness with a major
loss of stamina leaving his doctors to mandate that he stay home and
avoid all travel until he fully regains his strength and stamina.
It's estimated his recovery will take an additional 4-6 weeks.
Rossington is expected to make a full recovery with the proper rest
and rehabilitation.

Pat Buchanan, the 2006 Academy of Country Music's Top Guitar Player
of the Year will be filling in for Rossington when the "Gimme Three
Days" cruise sets sail. Buchanan who most recently has been on tour
with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw is an established musician in the
Nashville circuit and has played with some of country's music
finest.

Gary's wife Dale will also stay behind in Atlanta to be with her
husband during his recovery. Dale along with Carol Chase are the
back up vocalist for Lynyrd Skynyrd. In Dale's absence Raquel
Jonsen, Chase's daughter, will share the stage with her mom as a
fill in for Dale on this cruise.

There is no word if any dates after the cruise will be affected by
Rossington's illness, for now the only issue of importance is Gary's
health and that he continues to get better and has a complete
recovery.
